Over 40 years experience working in agriculture, community and natural resource management issues in north western Victoria.
Employed by the Mallee Catchment Management Authority for 6 years in a range of senior management roles, including acting CEO and managing community, cultural heritage, land and water management programs.
Projects Director with SunRISE 21 Inc. for 6 years undertaking projects to assist and encourage better management of the region’s land and water resources.
Employed in Victorian Department of Primary Industries for 27 years providing research, extension and regulatory services to the horticultural and livestock industries in North West Victoria.
Inaugural Chair of the Northern Mallee Leaders Program Community Reference Group, current Director with MADEC and Chair of Audit Committee for Sunraysia Rural Counselling Service Inc.
Life member of Mildura Apex Club and active member of Lions Club of Mildura.
Trevor Carter APM
Deputy Chair

Trevor retired as a Police Commander in 2014 having served 36 years with Victoria Police. In 2015 he moved to Mildura with his wife and established a consulting business specialising in leadership development and civil complaint assessments.
Trevor held various responsibilities within Victoria Police including the management of legal and corporate policy, managing a large metropolitan division, and the development and implementation of strategies focussed on strategic and operational priorities.
Trevor is the recipient of the Victoria Police Service Medal and in 2012 he was awarded the Australian Police Medal for outstanding services to the Victoria community.
Trevor holds a Certificate in Applied Management and is a graduate of the Australian and New Zealand School of Government and holds Masters in Public Administration (Executive).
Trevor is married to Jenny and they have two adult sons and six grandchildren. Aside from his family, Trevor’s interests include travelling, fishing and spending time with friends.
Mark Jenkins

Mark is currently the Manager Community Futures for the Mildura Rural City Council and is responsible for environmental sustainability, community development, strategic planning, social inclusion, arts and culture and community safety. Mark has worked in local government for 37 years across a diverse range of positions and roles which have included park and gardens, street tree management and waste management.
Jenny Garonne

Jenny has advanced knowledge in business and regional development, government, finance, facilitating collaborative action, clustering and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial culture gained through the different roles and projects she has initiated or has been involved with.
At the same time she has personally been involved with Rotary for over twenty-five years and is currently a Director of Zoe Support assisting young mothers to reengage with education.
Her formal qualifications include an Executive Masters in Public Administration, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), a Fellow CPA Accountant and Graduate Diploma of Education. Jenny has recently completed the Institute of Company Director’s course.

Jackie served on the Chances for Children Committee of Management for one year and recently took up a position at Mallee Family Care as the Program Coordinator with Chances for Children.
Jackie is an Alumni of the Northern Mallee Leaders having participated in the program in 2015.
Aleesha Davis
Member

Aleesha is passionate about developing strong communities and is an advocate for youth leadership and retention in the region. She is a previous graduate of the Northern Mallee Leaders Program and completed the MASP Youth Mentoring Program in 2017 which saw her hike the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea with a group of local, disadvantaged youth.
Aleesha’s passion for developing youth in the region is evident in her employment in a local primary school, in addition to her volunteer role as a junior coach at the Merbein Football Netball Club. She shows incredible resilience, a zest for life and all that it offers, and a strong desire to contribute and be a part of the future development of her community. Aleesha has much to offer the local community and is developing the skills and attitudes necessary that will see her become one of the decision makers in the Sunraysia region.
